You Don’t Get To Celebrate Mother’s Day If You Do This…
You Don’t Get To Celebrate Mother’s Day If You Do This…

If you don’t have a human child, Mother’s Day is not for you. Sorry, not sorry. Normally I wouldn’t really care, in fact, back in the day dog mom’s trying to make this day about themselves never bothered me.

That’s until I became a dad and I watched my lovely wife give birth to two humans. You picking out a puppy/kitten is not the same as carrying them around in your body, being constantly uncomfortable, and the pain that comes with live birth. My wife lost the ability to take her own socks off her feet after a long day due to be pregnant.

I’m not saying that you can’t consider your animals part of your family. I have 2 dogs and a cat. But you know what my dogs don’t do? Back talk me about having to eat vegetables before bath time. It just isn’t the same thing to me. If all you have is pets and you’re out there making social media posts like “Shoutout to Scruffy and Bella for making me a dog mom a year ago” all that says to me is “I have nothing else going in life so I need this attention on me right now.”

If you feel this strong about being recognized as a mother to your fur babies, send a petition to Hallmark about it. i’m sure they would LOVE to create another fake holiday to get your money.
