I Can’t Believe My Wife Betrayed Me

I was betrayed by my wife this past weekend. It started like any other Sunday. We get up around 8am, we go down stairs, we fix breakfast, and then my daughter wants to play. No biggie. Love playing with her. While we’re playing, my wife tells me “Hey, I’m going to go upstairs with Robbie (our 9 month old), feed him, and lay him down for his morning nap>” Aweoome. That was around 9:15.

So my daughter and I play BOAT, a game where I lay on my back and she sits on me and I act as a boat navigating rough waters and narrate as the ships captain, we played Moms & Dads with her stuffies, and then we started playing Hide And Seek. It wasn’t until I was hiding in our downstairs closet when I realized, it’s almost NOON and I haven’t heard a PEEP from wife, in fact, I haven’t SEEN HER since she went upstairs.

So my daughter and I wrap up Hide And Seek when we played a new game. FIND OUT WHAT MOMMY IS CURRENTLY DOING. If you had “SNUCK OFF TO TAKE A NAP” then you would be absolutely CORRECT.

Parents know that sleep is a precious commodity. Parents trade naps like prisoners trade cigarettes. So when one parent sneaks off, it’s a total act of betrayal. And before any of you jump in with “ShE dEsErEvEs A nAp!”, how do you think this would go if I did that same thing?

The answer is terribly!
