MARKETING SALES PROFESSIONAL

Responsibilities:
- Create and implement local direct sales plans with an emphasis on client-focused selling, including digital marketing and advertising, radio campaigns, events, and sponsorships that get results for clients.
- Develop and grow business relationships with key local companies, focusing on branding and long-term partnerships.
- Consistently cold call and prospect for qualified local and regional businesses.
- Reach and meet with local and regional decision-makers, set meetings, analyze client needs, and create and deliver strategic advertising presentations that address client objectives.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales goals.
- Accurately project sales revenues, meet and exceed monthly goals for all products, and exceed annual budget goals.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated, outgoing, results-oriented, resilient, creative, and a problem-solver.
- Track record of exceeding sales goals. Digital media and/or radio experience preferred.
- Proficiency in prospecting, client needs assessment, marketing & advertising plan creation, presenting, and closing.
- Strong background in Digital, Radio or Broadcast Media preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital products; i.e. SEM, SEO, search retargeting, geofencing.
- Understanding of the local market and marketing & advertising concepts.
- Ability to plan, communicate with, develop & maintain client relationships.
- The discipline and creativity to work with diverse prospects and clients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and goal-oriented environment
- Ability to effectively overcome client objections and articulate the value of recommended solutions.
Requirements:
- Sales experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office software is required.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with state minimum required liability insurance.
- A great can-do attitude with a desire to have fun and be successful!

PROMOTIONS ASSISTANT
Part-Time Position
The Five Star Media Group in Clarksville is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and outgoing professional for the position of Promotions Assistant. As the Promotions Assistant, you will support both Promotions and Programming with graphic design projects and execute on-site appearances at local venues, retail partners, and other event & promotions-related activities in the market. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing, friendly, and engaging personality, as you will be interacting with our listeners and the public daily. This position also requires creativity, a keen eye for detail, an unquestionable work ethic, and the ability to proactively problem-solve, along with a passion for community & local businesses.
In this part-time position, you will work 25 hours per week based on scheduling needs. Punctuality and availability on nights and weekends is required. Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support for station promotions, including prize fulfillment, data entry, and taking inventory
- Provides on-site support for station promotions, including packing and unpacking materials, loading and unloading materials into station vehicles, transporting materials to event locations, setting up promotional booths and tables at events, and interacting with event attendees during events
- Providing basic oversight of fleet of station vehicles, including keeping vehicles fueled for events, and keeping vehicles clean inside and out.
- Answering telephones, providing information to callers, screening and directing calls, and taking and relaying messages
- General administrative and clerical support including transmitting information or documents to customers, using a computer, mail, or fax machine
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and some experience with Adobe Photoshop
- Typing skills required. Accuracy and careful proofreading skills are essential.
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A professional and positive appearance and attitude
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Attention to detail, ability to manage a wide variety of tasks and meet deadlines, and reliability/dependability and produce quality work under deadline pressure
- Must be a strong team player who exhibits enthusiasm and passion for the work.

- Ability to be discreet and flexible, work independently, and prioritize situations to expedite handling important matters.

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time at events
- Must have occasional weekend and nighttime work availability
