Rotten Reviews – Movies Coming To Clarksville This Weekend

It’s Friday which means we take a look at the movies hitting the big screen and whether or not you should spend your hard earned money on them. You know the drill, we see if they beat Austin Peay QB Mike Delillo’s QB Passer Rating from the previous game.

52% – Mike Delillo’s Passing Percentage Against Southern Utah

0% FREELANCE – STARRING: John Cena & Alison Brie

Ex-special forces operative Mason Pettis is stuck in a dead-end desk job when he reluctantly takes on a freelance gig to provide private security for washed-up journalist Claire Wellington as she interviews the ruthless–but impeccably dressed–dictator, Juan Venegas. When a military coup breaks out just as she’s about to get the scoop of a lifetime, the unlikely trio must figure out how to survive the jungle AND each other in order to make it out alive!

87% THE KILLER – STARRING: Michael Fassbender & Charles Parnell

After a fateful near-miss an assassin battles his employers, and himself, on an international manhunt he insists isn’t personal.

27% FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S – STARRING: Josh Hutcherson & Elizabeth Lail

The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.

Even though it scored a 0%, I’m still going to watch that John Cena movie. I feel action comedies kind of get a raw deal from “movie critics” so I’ll judge for myself. Plus Alison Brie is in it and I think she’s beautiful, so there’s that.

This year’s song of the summer is a ballad, not a banger. Here’s what that says about us

For the past 14 weeks and counting, the top Billboard spot has been held by a love ballad: Alex Warren's "Ordinary." As Berklee College of Music professor and forensic musicologist Joe Bennett notes, the February release is "a fair bit slower than the mean average for the Hot 100, or for a historical song of the summer."
