Hello Clarksville, Goodbye Texas

Well it is official, I no longer  have a residency in Texas. I completed the sale of my home back in Houston and honestly, it was pretty sad.

Houston is  the only home I have ever known and that house was not only the first house that my wife and I every purchased, but it’s also the home where we started a family. When we were looking at homes, we literally looked at a one story that was only 5 houses down from what we eventually purchased. It wasn’t a bad house, but it was a tad small. I remember telling my wife the one story was nice and I could see us living there, but the two story that we bought would be a house that we can grow into.

And that’s exactly what we did. We added our dog Sadie to the family first, then came our daughter, and then our son Robbie. Letting that house go for sale was emotionally tougher than I thought it would be. Until I saw the check for it clear our bank account. Like The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase said, “Everyone has a price”, and I’m not sad to say I know mine!

So there it is, Clarksville. I have no home to go back to in Texas. I am your problem now!
