Good Burgers Are On Their Way!

I’m excited Clarksville. Since I arrived here in April, I’ve been trying to take in all that the Queen City has to offer in terms of food and entertainment. You have some pretty dope breweries, a nice winery, and a distillery I have yet to attend. But y’all are about to be blessed by the Texas Gods.

Whataburger is coming and they’ll be here by the end of 2023. Whataburger is a Texas institution. I’ve had some many great memories growing up.

In High School whenever we had to play a team on the other side of town or in a different city, on the way home we would stop at Whataburger. How do you get a bus full of football players to be quiet, with a juicy Whataburger with cheese and fries of course!

My wifes aunt and grandmother came to visit us when our daughter was born and of course I had to take them to the Burger Mecca. When you order, they give you the little hats that have your order number on them so they can bring your food to the table. I explained to them how it is a tradition to take the hats with you on your first visit. Now them being upstanding, devout Christians, they said they couldn’t because it’s stealing. Even after I told them it isn’t, it’s expected and they even have back up numbers because of this, they still refused.

This then led me to taking it for them when they weren’t looking and hiding it in their carry on suitcase. I’m not kidding when I tell you they freaked out thinking TSA was going to stop them and arrest them for theft. Look, you don’t mess with traditions!

I can’t wait to have a little taste of home come here to Clarksville. My goal is to be the very first person in line they day they open. I’ll make sure to leave the number hats for yall!
