Fancy Frozen Meal Review – Gordon Ramsay’s Lasagna

Another day, another review of frozen meals brought to you by Gordon Ramsay. In my previous blog I reviewed the Mushroom Risotto and Chicken Pot Pie, and today we have his Lasagna. Lasagna is one of my favorite dishes and honestly, it’s kind of hard to screw up, so lets dive in!

COOK TIME: Very quick cook time. 6 minutes total. That’s it. Just be careful, as with anything that has cheese, it can get welded to the bottom of the serving dish AND the inside can be molten lava. Let it cool a bit before trying it.

PORTION SIZE: You get two pieces the size of your fist. This is going to be perfect for tonight when I get done laying my kids down for bed after bath time and I go to watch the 49ers destroy the Giants on Thursday Night Football.

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS: Keep It Simple, Stupid. You microwave it for 3 minutes with film on. Take the film off. (Be careful cause that steam will melt you like the bad guy from Indiana Jones) Then microwave again for 3 minutes.

TASTE: This is the best one yet. Tasty, not as salty (although it’s still 900+ grams of sodium) but it is fantastic.

So having said that, does it justify the price of $6? In my opinion, yes, yes it does. This meal provides exactly what you want. Fast, filling, easy to make. Not something I want to eat every day, but it will make a very suitable lunch/dinner ready to eat in 6 minutes!
