Do Movies Opening This Weekend Pass The Rotten Reviews Test?

Every week I make sure to let you know before you head to the theaters to spend your hard earned money if they pass the Rotten Reviews Game!

Our benchmark this week is: 68% – Austin Peay Governors QB Mike Delillo’s Passing Percentage This Season

100% Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – Starring: Taylor Swift

The cultural phenomenon continues on the big screen! Immerse yourself in this once-in-a-lifetime concert film experience with a breathtaking, cinematic view of the history-making tour.

70% Dark Harvest – Starring: Casey Likes & Emyri Crutchfield

Dark Harvest is a chilling tale set in a cursed town, where every Halloween becomes a brutal battle for survival. During the fall of 1963, the terrifying legend Sawtooth Jack rises from the cornfields and makes its way toward town, where gangs of eighteen-year-old boys stand ready to slaughter the murderous scarecrow before midnight. Among the boys is Richie, a rebellious outcast yearning to break free from the town’s curse, driven by his brother’s victory the year before. As the hunt progresses, secrets are revealed, leading Richie to a shocking discovery and a fateful decision that could break the vicious cycle once and for all.

67% Herd – Starring: Ellen Adair & Mitzi Akaha

When Jamie Miller and her wife, Alex Kanai, try to save their failing marriage by going on a canoe trip in rural Missouri, they find themselves stranded after an accident. Alex breaks her leg during a canoe flip and they must slowly make their way to the nearest small town for help. Upon arriving they find it has been overrun by virus-infected “Heps” and extreme right wing local militias who are battling them. The leader of one of the groups, “Big John Gruber”, shuttles them to safety at his bunker where they are welcomed by a seemingly friendly group of locals, but after witnessing personal and gruesome horrors, the women know they must escape. Jamie and Alex now find themselves on the run, caught between the group that saved them, a competing militia, and the growing infected Hep threat.

While the last two movies may barely pass/fail the benchmark, they’re definitely capturing my interest in this season of spooky movies! They sound like awesome watch on streaming at home movies, but by the time they hit, spooky season may be over, so I might go catch a matinee of them one day!
