Park and Ride Bus from Clarksville catches fire on Interstate 24

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Park and Ride Bus from Clarksville caught fire Thursday morning, closing lanes on Interstate 24 eastbound at the I-65 junction.

According to News 2, the fire occurred at the I-24/I-65 split just before 7:00 am Thursday.

All passengers were safely evacuated and were picked up by another Gray Line bus, though traffic was backed up for miles.

The cause of the fire is not known.
