If you log on to the Mammoth WVH Facebook page, you will see the words “Wolf Van Halen does music in here.”

That means, Wolf Van Halen does ALL the music. Wolf IS Mammoth WVH.

A few months back, after the death of his father, the legendary Eddie Van Halen, Mammoth WVH released a song about him called “Distance“. It’s a beautiful, emotional song and while cathartic, I’m sure it’s also painful to Wolf. The video, which serves as an intimate look into life with Eddie Van Halen as your dad, will bring tears to your eyes. The song is getting great radio play all across the country, he’s been on the Today Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live. And for those performances, Wolf has of course, a band joining him.

But when it comes to what Mammoth WVH is at its core, Mammoth WVH IS Wolf Van Halen.  Yes, he played bass, replacing Michael Anthony, in Van Halen. But he’s also fluent in lead and rhythm guitars, but drums too. Oh, and he sings too. Not only did Wolf write all the songs, he plays every single instrument on the upcoming debut album which drops on June 11.

Wolf also has a great sense of humor as is shown in the video for his second single. Not only does Wolf play all the instruments in Mammoth WVH, he plays all the parts in this video too.  The humor opens the door, or your ears rather, to a slamming new jam called “Don’t Back Down”. This one made my hairs stand up. I can’t wait til it’s officially released to radio so we can start cranking it on Z975!
