Happy Valentine’s Day from Netflix! The streaming service dropped a teaser trailer on us for the upcoming fourth season of the smash hit series, Stranger Things.

SPOILER ALERT:

Now if you watch the show, you’ll remember that at the end of Season 3, you’ll remember the cliffhanger that left us gutted thinking our favorite Sheriff Hopper had perished after the battle at the Starcourt Mall. The set up was that Hopper sacrificed himself jumping in front of the beam that was believed to be the gateway to The Upside Down.

The final scene Russian soldiers make reference to “The American” but of course we don’t see just who it is. But as fans who were suddenly in shock and sad and angry all at once, our fingers are crossed that it is Hopper.

Well, with the trailer that Netflix dropped today with the caption of “From Russia, With Love” it certainly LOOKS like he survived. But is it really Hopper?? Remember, there was one point in time where we thought Will was dead because there was a body – which turned out to be fake. And the Upside Down is essentially a weird dark albeit parallel universe.

While I have yet to find out the release date, filming commenced in January and is expected to run thru August. So my best guess is we should be blessed with what could be the final season of one of the greatest shows on television before the end of 2020. I’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, check out the teaser trailer and you can get a recap of Season 3 here from IMDB
