LOS ANGELES - MAY 15: Keanu Reeves arrives for the John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum' L.A. Special Screening on May 15, 2019 in Hollywood, CA Photo: Shutterstock

It’s been 29 years but the Wylde Stallyns are back!

We’ve been hearing about it for a while now and today we finally get our first glimpse at the Bill and Ted’s newest adventure: “Bill & Ted Face the Music”.

The premise of the film is that Bill & Ted played by Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves respectively, must travel to the future to find the song they wrote that saves the world. Except now, instead of two young party dudes, they are middle aged dads. What could possibly go wrong? Though the biggest thing that will be missing is Rufus, played by George Carlin.

My jury is still out as it’s hard to tell by this  trailer if it’ll be worth the watch. I mean I enjoyed the first two films; 1989’s “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” where the boys create the ultimate history report and 1991’s “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” where they have to battle their evil android doubles.

Just reading that, you know that these films are far from serious but while they might have us Gen-Xer’s excited, there’s an entire generation that has no idea who Bill & Ted are. That’s not to say this third film won’t be entertaining, but I think as the OG Bill & Ted generation, we owe it to the kids of today to teach them the ways of being excellent to one another.

Refresh your brains with the first two trailers and then get your kids and watch them together. Who knows, it could be fun. Party on, Dudes!

This year’s song of the summer is a ballad, not a banger. Here’s what that says about us

For the past 14 weeks and counting, the top Billboard spot has been held by a love ballad: Alex Warren's "Ordinary." As Berklee College of Music professor and forensic musicologist Joe Bennett notes, the February release is "a fair bit slower than the mean average for the Hot 100, or for a historical song of the summer."
