Want to Sing at the Music City Bowl?

Yes, you. You can be featured as the National Anthem singer for the TransPerfect Music City Bowl on New Year’s Eve at Nissan Stadium.

In celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Bowl, there is a new partnership with Amazon. That partnership is bringing the Amazon Voice of the Bowl contest and will allow two talented (and lucky) singers to perform; one singing “God Bless America” and the other will sing the “Star Spangled Banner”.

Music City Bowl president and CEO Scott Ramsey looks forward to highlighting the talent of Music City saying, “By showcasing the talent the Music City has to offer, we are able to highlight what makes this city unique while simultaneously honoring our nation at our game,”

Ready to warm up those pipes and audition? All you need to do is submit a file or a link to you singing to anthem@nashvillesports.com. Nothing fancy either, just you and your voice, acapella. The Anthem should run no longer than 90 seconds, and “God Bless America” no longer than 60 seconds.  Short, sweet and to the point.

Five finalists will be chosen to compete further at the Amazon Voice of the Bowl finals on October 8th.

Come on, Clarksville! Let’s show the world that not all the talent lives within the confines of Music City!

For the past 14 weeks and counting, the top Billboard spot has been held by a love ballad: Alex Warren's "Ordinary." As Berklee College of Music professor and forensic musicologist Joe Bennett notes, the February release is "a fair bit slower than the mean average for the Hot 100, or for a historical song of the summer."
