The Prince of Darkness & Rocketman?

What sounds like an odd pairing, might turn out to be pretty damn epic. Ozzy Osbourne is planning a collaboration with Sir Elton John.

Now aside from both being Englishmen and musicians, you wouldn’t think these two had much else in common.  But according to Ozzy’s wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, the two are joining forces for a song on Ozzy’s upcoming record. On Monday’s episode of The Talk, Sharon said:

A lot of good things: Wellness, to get back with his band, and to get doing what he loves which is touring and being out there with his fans.

“Yes, there’s new music and it’s great. He’s got all his friends playing on it and he’s doing a song with Elton – there’s so much good stuff.”

For me, being a fan of both, I think it’s going to be outstanding!  The release date of Ozzy’s new album, “Ordinary Man” is still unknown but will hopefully surface in early spring.

In the meantime, Ozzy, his daughter Kelli and son Jack, have been fending off rumors about him being on his “death bed”. While he did have to cancel tour dates twice last year due to a fall and aggrivating an ATV injury from 2003, The Ozzman plans to return to the road May 27th in Atlanta (which is the closest date we will see). And Sir Elton got to celebrate with two Golden Globes last weekend for his biopic Rocketman. Taron Egerton, who portrayed Elton picked up Best Actor and Elton along with his writing partner of 52 year, Bernie Taupin, won for Best Original Song. This marks the first time they’ve ever won an award together.
