Slash, Wolfgang Van Halen Surprise with Oscars Performance

Slash, Wolfgang Van Halen Surprise with Oscars Performance

I have to admit I did not watch the 96th annual Oscars last night but it’s been fun catching up via social media and YouTube today. From Robert Downey Jr’s acceptances speech, to an almost entirely naked John Cena presented the Oscar for Costume Design.

And while the Barbie movie may have been snubbed, I have to say the film was way better than I ever expected; including Ryan Gosling singing for his role as Ken. The song is so good in fact, that it was nominated for Best Song, so naturally, Gosling performed the song during the ceremony.

Starting out sitting behind co-star Margot Robbie, donning a hot pink sequin suit, dancers, back up singers and pyro. The only way to make the performance more impressive? Bring out one of the greatest guitarists ever: Slash. And even though you only get a quick glimpse towards the end of the performance, Wolfgang Van Halen was on that stage shredding too. I had to watch this more than once to find him! But what a great performance.

Kinda makes me sad I missed it last night.

And since I mentioned them, here’s your bonus footage of Robert and John
