Rockin’ Rescue – PUPDATE with Teddy

Photo: Z-97.5

Our dear, sweet Teddy!! He was my feature guest last week on Rockin’ Rescue. It was known that Teddy had been severely neglected by his previous “owner”, but after his visit with us, he went to get a full checkup from the vet. Teddy has a sad laundry list of health issues…. BUT almost all of them should be able to be reversed.

Teddy’s neglect lead to severe emaciation, making him weigh in only at 38 pounds. (He should be at least 60-65) That has lead to other issues with his heart: He has tachycardia, his heart is racing around 200bpm (normal is 60-120); he has an enlarged left atrium, a murmur and a suspected mitral valve glitch. Add to that, double ear infection, he was severely matted, his coat looking more like that of a sheep.

Teddy’s road to recovery is underway, but financial help is needed. PLEASE donate if you can at Mikaela’s Mutt Motel. Monetary donations can be made thru their secure PayPal.
