Rockin’ Rescue – Centennial Canines

There is nothing better than puppy breath! Unless you multiple it by 11!. Meet the Centennial Canines! These precious angels are Lab Mix pups are the babies of Miss Ruby, who was my Dog of Honor last week. A very pregnant Ruby, along with two boys from her previous litter and another sweet boy, Smoky, had been dumped on someone’s property. Mikaela’s Mutt Motel to the rescue!!

Ruby spent three days in labor and took nearly 8 hours to deliver all these cutie patooties that you see here. The Centennial Canines will be ready for their new lives in their FURever homes as of August 27th. They have had their first round of shots and are microchipped. This is their first ever venture outside!! I was so honored to be a part of this experience with them and to watch as each one of them discovered grass and let their little personalities out.

As of right now, DOLLY, HUNDO, GEORGIA, CiCi and BENJI are still available!

Remember that August is National Dog Month, better known as “Dogust”! Celebrate by helping out our four-legged furry friends. Some ways you can do that:

Volunteer at a local rescue or shelter. Everything from walking, feeding, cleaning, playing and cuddling can be a huge help not only to the humans, but those dogs that are waiting to find their FURever homes.

Donate money or supplies. If you’ve got a few extra bucks, or feel like picking up extra items while you are doing your own shopping, again a huge help. Cleaning supplies, food, treats, toys, pee pads, and more.

Fundraise for your favorite rescue, shelter or dog organization. Have a garage sale, a bake sale, a car wash, or even a dog wash. You do some other good things for the community and the dogs.

Foster a dog. Shelters and rescues are always full and usually with a waiting list of others who are in need. Dogs do not thrive in a shelter. They get lonely and anxious and it can cause behavior issues. Fostering a dog gets them out of that mundane situation and into a stimulating environment where they can socialize, learn manners and get ready for their FURever home.

If adoption isn’t for you but you’d still like to help, please consider donating to the Mutts either thru PayPal or the Amazon Wishlist!
