Over the last year or so, a beautiful, extremely talented young lady took to social media to challenge one of her heroes. And mine!

11-year-old Nandi Bushell, whom in 2019 dropped a drum cover of Nirvana’s “In Bloom” began a back-n-forth with Nirvana’s drummer (current Foo Fighters frontman) Dave Grohl. Watching their videos has been a delight. And impressive.

Well, last night during Foo Fighters stop in Los Angeles at the legendary The Forum, it was finally time for the two of them to get out from behind the Zoom screen and meet face to face.  The prodigy joined the Foos onstage for their finale of “Everlong” and blew the roof off the joint.

Grohl said of Bushell: “This person inspired me last year so much,” Grohl said onstage before welcoming Bushell. He went on to call her “the most badass drummer in the world,” as well as his new friend.

Nandi posted the footage, graciously shot by her father, to her YouTube page. She said: It Happened!!! It was EPIC!!! Thank you so much @Foo Fighters Thank you to everyone who made it possible for me to jam with Mr. Grohl – Its my Daddy who filmed the video and is screaming a lot.”

Check out her performance which is nothing short of incredible. I see big things for this girl and her future.
