Reason #941 to Love Dave Grohl

So a week or so ago, I learned of a kid’s TV show I’d never heard of; Ryan’s Mystery Playdate. And I learned of it because I stalk…er…. I mean, I FOLLOW Dave Grohl on social media and a teaser video was posted to promote Grohl’s appearance on the show.

Last night as I was making one last scroll thru Facebook before going to sleep a post from the Appreciation of Rock and Grohl that made my inner child and my obsession of Grohl crack a very large smile and literally say out loud “Holy crap this is amazing!” You see, Dave is making his way to Sesame Street!

Dave is teaming up with Big Bird and Elmo for a cross country road trip in search of friends!

Sesame Street has been a part of my entire life, and I don’t remember such kick ass guests as this. So good on, Sesame Street for keeping up modern times and the coolest dude on the planet!

Not gunna lie tho, while Dave is a dad, he’s also one of the biggest non rock star rock stars and like me, has a potty mouth from hell. And yet here we are, stepping up, being goofy and having a blast on a CHILDREN’S show!

As I said in my previous Grohl blog, (Reason #940)

I don’t have live TV anymore so I’ll settle for watching and rewatching the video. And before I know it, I’ll probably be singing along!

And Mr. Grohl… if you’re looking for new friends, HERE I AM! Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street? I’ll be one of the people in your neighborhood!

On a side note,  Sesame Street has been on the air for 50 years!!! Check out the list of guests that have appeared over the years here.
