Ozzy Osbourne Diagnosed with Parkinsons

2019 was a rough year for the Prince of Darkness.  He battled pneumonia, staph infections, falling on stage that lead to neck surgery and that of course led to Ozzy having to cancel tour dates and get himself back on track.  There were even rumors of Ozzy being on his deathbed several weeks back. Now, it appears that Ozzy Osbourne’s health issues are not over.

On Good Morning America today, Ozzy and his wife and manager, Sharon announced he has been diagnosed with Stage 2 Parkinson’s disease.  And while it is difficult to read about Ozzy’s health and listen to him struggle with some words, and physical limitations, it’s relieving to know that Ozzy has no plans to quit.

“I feel better now that I’ve owned up to the fact that I have a case of Parkinson’s,” Osbourne said. “I just hope they hang on and they’re there for me because I need them,” he said of his fans. “They’re my air.”

 

In another interview segment, son Jack and daughter Kelly speak up about how the family is coming together. Ozzy credits Kelly with getting him up off the couch and back into the studio. Jack, by the way, is also dealing with his own diagnosis of MS that came in 2012.  

 

The Osbourne’s are planning on relocating to Switzerland to seek help from a specialist to help with his health so that he can continue on being Ozzy.

There is a new album, “Ordinary Man”, slated for release on February 21st. The new album features his number one song, ‘Under the Graveyard”;  “Straight to Hell” featuring Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Duff McKagen of Guns n Roses; and the title track that pairs Ozzy with Sir Elton John. 

The “No More Tours 2” is expected to pick up again in May with Marilyn Manson tapped to open US dates and Judas Priest for the European run
