Let’s get you caught up on some of the new tunes we’re spinning on Z975

Danish rockers Volbeat are back with another new song that’s got some teeth to it. It’s no secret that they are fans of boogie woogie, blues, and a little punk rock. The last song they released, “Wait a Minute My Girl” had a lot of that 50s influenced boogie woogie beat laced with piano and saxophone. I mean, this is a song Jerry Lee Lewis could have released to be honest. Their latest returns a bit to the heavy handed guitars that Rob Caggiano brings to the mix. The sound that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and you go “yeeaaaaa, this one is gunna be good.” Contradictory to it’s title, it’s not blues or bluesy at all. I love this chugging sound and it makes me excited for the release of a new album. “Servant of the Mind” will drop on December 3rd.
