I’m just gonna say it: Wolf Van Halen has more talent in his little pinky than I can even dream about in my head.

The son of the late, legendary Eddie Van Halen and actress Valerie Bertinelli, this kid hit the talent gene jackpot.

He writes, he sings, he plays…in fact he played every single instrument on the debut album of his project of Mammoth WVH.  Mammoth WVH was a solo project Wolf was working on while he was an active member of Van Halen. If you recall, he replaced bassist Michael Anthony in 2007. Oh and let’s not forget he also spent time playing in Tremonti as well.

Wolf had actually started working on this album in 2015 but put it on hold after his father became ill so that he could spend time with him. The album was released in November of 2020 with the first song, “Distance”, being a tribute to his dad.

Why the name of Mammoth WVH? Well, the WVH I’m pretty sure is self explanatory and the Mammoth part was also in tribute to his dad as that was the name of Eddie’s first band before they had evolved into Van Halen.

While Wolf played and recorded absolutely every part of the debut album, he does have a full band in place now and has been out touring in support of it.

He’s also released his third single from it, “Epiphany”.
