New Music – Eva Under Fire

When it comes to the world of rock music, I live, eat, breathe and sleep this format. I’m always looking for new stuff from not only staple artists, but new voices as well. And in a format that is still mostly male dominated, I get excited seeing more and more women making enough noise to give the boys a run for their money.

We are familiar with Halestorm, The Pretty Reckless, In This Moment and Evanescence. In recent weeks, we got a new song from Dorothy and today, I’d like to introduce you to the Detroit-based, female-fronted, Eva Under Fire.

The band is starting to make themselves heard with killer riffs and a monster hook in their single “Blow”. Vocalist Amanda Lyberg combines her powerful melodies that get spiced up with some help from Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills.

This song makes me want to hit ‘repeat’ and continue pumping my fist in the air.  Another cool thing about this song and video, as you will see, is it and the band are featured in a horror movie, “The Retaliators”. The film was supposed to come out last year but has been pushed to September of this year. The in depth story about will be featured here soon, but as it’s produced by Better Noise Records, let’s just say the cast will have lots of familiar faces.

In the meantime, check out “Blow” from Eva Under Fire featuring Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills.

They just wrapped a big tour with Nothing More and will be a part of this year’s Louder Than Life coming up in September. I can’t wait to see the crowd bouncing on this one.
