Massive New Roller Coaster Coming to Dollywood

Massive New Roller Coaster Coming to Dollywood

I have a confession to make. I’ve lived here in Clarksville for eight years and I have so many places I have never explored. This includes making the four-hour drive to Pigeon Forge to check out Dolly Parton’s amusement park, Dollywood. I know, I need to get out more.

I love a good roller coaster, and I know there’s plenty of black bears that hang around that part of the state, so what exactly am I waiting for? I have no idea. But Dollywood announced a new “family friendly” roller coaster that will debut in 2023. Big Bear Mountain brags nearly four thousand feet of track expanding thru the park for a six-acre ride. Yea, I’d say that’s massive.

The Dollywood twitter page posted the exclusive first look of Big Bear Mountain via ride animation. For a coaster that lacks loopty loops, upside twisty turnies, Big Bear Mountain still looks like a pretty impressive ride.
