LISTEN: Ozzy Drops Another New Track With Help From Slash

It was just a couple weeks ago that we got our hands on a brand new single from the Prince of Darkness. We have been loving “Under the Graveyard” and I for one am quite excited to hear just how good Ozzy sounds these days. It’s no secret that he’s struggled with health issues lately that caused the postponement of his tour.

And today, as we rejoice that it is Friday, the Oz drops another new single from his forthcoming album, Ordinary Man. “Straight to Hell” features Guns n Roses shred master Slash.

The bass is clean and dark, the guitar riffs make the hair in your ears stand up and beginning with an “All right now”, brings me right back to the Black Sabbath heyday. The super beautiful thing about this track is not just Slash’s solo toward the end, but the knowledge that the ‘studio band’ is rounded out by Duff McKagan of GnR on bass, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers on drums and producer Andrew Watt on guitar.

This is Ozzy’s first release since 2010’s Scream. Though no official date has been set, we are eyeing a January release.

If this is the soundtrack, put me on the express route!

Check out “Straight to Hell” and crank it.
