It’s been six long years and a few tragedies since we last heard from the Thunder from Down Under, but AC/DC is back!

Brian Johnson, Angus Young, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams reunite for the band’s 17th studio album, “Power Up” which is set for release on November 3rd.

If you recall in 2016, Johnson was forced to take a break as he was suffering from devastating hearing loss. The band toured with Axl Rose of Guns n Roses in his place.

Phil Rudd got nailed in 2014 for an alleged murder plot and it was years before the band spoke with him.

Co-founding member and guitarist Malcom Young passed away in 2017 at the age of 64.  His nephew, Stevie, has been playing in his place since 2014.

Johnson just recently opened up about his hearing loss that he suffered during the bands “Rock or Bust” tour.

“It was pretty serious. I couldn’t hear the tone of the guitars at all. It was a horrible kind of deafness. I was literally getting by on muscle memory and mouth shapes. I was starting to really feel bad about the performances in front of the boys, in front of the audience. It was crippling. There’s nothing worse than standing there and not being sure.”

He met with a specialist who created a device to help him sing again.

“We’d sit there and it was boring as s— with all these wires and computer screens and noises. But it was well worth it. The only thing I can tell you is that it uses the bone structure in the skull as a receiver. That’s as much as I can tell you.”

It was September of 2019 when the band had announced they were reuniting and planning a new album, which according to Angus, the album is dedicated to Malcom much like “Back in Black” was a tribute to Bon Scott.

With a month to go until it’s release, today we get the first single, “Shot in the Dark”.

If you love AC/DC, you won’t be disappointed.
