With the world upside down from Covid-19 right now, there’s no going out to eat, no going to movies and definitely no going to concerts.

Well, Sir Elton John hosted the Living Room Concert for America that aired last night on Fox. I don’t have ‘regular TV’, so I am quite thankful for the internet and YouTube. And if you know anything about me at all, you know I am VERY thankful for Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters.

Dave is sheltering in place like the rest of us and realizing it’s an awkward time in our world to say the least, was part of this concert along with several other artists like Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day,  Tim McGraw, Billie Eilish, Mariah Carey and others all performing from their homes. Unfortunately, Sir Elton finds himself quarantined in a home with no piano!! How does that even happen??? Sir Elton made the best of it by serving as the Master of Ceremonies. The Living Room Concert for America not only served as entertainment for us all, but also as a fundraiser for Feeding America, which is stepping up to make sure no one goes hungry during the Covid-19 pandemic, by allocating donations to food banks across the country.

Mr. Grohl’s contribution was just him and his guitar doing an acoustic version of “My Hero” in dedication to all our first responders.  Thank you Dave, for recognizing our First Responsders, Emergency personnel, doctors, nurses… all of them. They truly are the heroes.

Dave has also been keeping busy and helping us stay sane with #DavesTrueStories on Instagram. I’ll try and post some of them for you in the coming days!

The entire Living Room Concert is currently streaming on YouTube.
