Corey Taylor Just Can’t Sit Still

First, he was in Stone Sour. Then Slipknot. Then Slipknot AND Stone Sour.

Then you throw in his cover band Dum Fux, a multitude of guest appearances, several books and when that’s not enough, you use all that extra time you have to put out a slipsolo record. Corey Taylor exhausts me. But in a good way.

Taylor has announced that Stone Sour “has kinda run its course for now”

We all talked as a band and decided to kinda put Stone Sour in indefinite hiatus. That’s the way it is. We’ve put it on the shelf for now. Everyone’s kind of going and doing their own thing. If someday we wanna get back together and do some stuff, it’ll be bigger than it was. But for right now, we’re all kind of focused on kind of doing our own thing. But you never say never in this business.

So, Corey is moving forward with his solo career, because, like I said, the man cannot sit still! And I’m ok with that. He’s released two songs from the new record; one meant for radio called “Black Eyes Blue” and one most definitely NOT radio friendly but it’s a banger. “CMFT Must Be Stopped” features Taylor spitting along side Tech N9ne and Kid Bookie which is just freakin killer. It comes with a video that has hot dancing chicks, fire and some awesome cameos featuring artists who are sitting around bored during this pandemic. You’ll have to watch it a few times to catch them all but some highlights include Lzzy Hale, Otep, Rob Halford, Chris Jericho, Lars Ulrich, Marilyn Manson, Lajon Witherspoon, John 5, Scott Ian and Randy Blythe.

CMFT… Corey MotherFucking Taylor does NOT need to be stopped. I encourage you to play this loud and often. Unless your at work, then strap on the headphones!

His album will drop on October 2nd and is available for pre-order
