After winning season four of American Idol in 2005, Carrie Underwood catapulted into county music stardom; dominating charts, radio stations, award shows and the hopes and dreams of every karaoke bar out there. (C’mon, how many times have you heard “Before He Cheats” being belted out at karaoke night?)

She’s married to former Nashville (and still one of our favorites) Predators Mike Fisher, whom she met at one of her shows in 2008. She’s a  mom to two beautiful boys.

Don’t let this country music sweetheart fool you, she’s rock chick at heart. In fact, she’s a big fan of Guns ‘n Roses. So much so, she performed “Paradise City” at the 2013 CMA’s and crushed it.

A couple of years ago, she was on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and talked about how she ditched her family to go see Guns ‘n Roses in Las Vegas. She called that “the greatest night of my life”.

Well, Miss Underwood now has a new greatest night of her life.

Over the weekend, the three-day country music festival, Stagecoach went down in Indio, CA and feature Carrie along with stars Thomas Rhett, Luke Combs and even The Black Crowes.

Carrie surprised fans at Stagecoach not just by throwing down a couple of Gun ‘n Rose classics, Axl Rose made an appearance to perform his songs with her.

I will admit, Axl doesn’t sound too bad. I’ve heard stories over the years about his voice being shelled, but overall, I think he did alright. Watching Carrie living her best life, breaking out, letting her hair down and doing some head banging, well that was just pretty freaking epic as far as I’m concerned. To me, she knocked this out of the park and yeah, I’ll say it, out sang and outshined Rose by a mile.

Now, if we could just get her to do a rock album…
