About Samantha

Born and raised in Nebraska, I dreamed of a career on the radio waves since the age of six.  So eager to begin that career, I talked my way into not only an early admissions course at the University of Nebraska – Kearney, but my first radio show while still in my junior year of high school. Through determination and lots of patience, two years after graduating from UNK, my professional career began in Lincoln, Nebraska where I spent seven years doing nights on “The Blaze.” My next chapter took me to Des Moines, Iowa where I did nights on “Lazer 103.3” for the next ten years. In 2014, an amazing opportunity led me here to Clarksville and Z975 doing afternoon drive, Rock Around the Region on Sunday nights and Rockin’ Rescue featuring adoptable dogs each week. I am also the music director for Z975 and Production director for all nine stations at 5 Star.

It didn’t take long for Clarksville to feel like home for either. With a big heart filled with passion and respect for the military, settling into the city that is home to the 101st Airborne Air Assault Screaming Eagles was a no brainer. I figured out very quickly just how special Clarksville was. A little southern hospitality, the people here are so nice. But there’s something extra special about living in a town that is filled with so many that dedicate their lives to protecting mine. Everywhere I’ve ever lived outside of my hometown, never felt like home. Clarksville, feels like home

In my spare time, I’m an avid hockey fan so I volunteer my time as the PA announcer for the Fort Campbell Screamin’ Eagles Hockey team. That gig led to becoming the PA announcer for Clarksville’s USPHL hockey team, the Red River Spartans. Having the opportunity to work in hockey as well as radio is a dream come true! I love music, concerts, movies, and I’ve got a big soft heart for four-legged creatures. I’m a ‘mom’ to two dogs, several cats and two rabbits and I also volunteer my time with the local foster-based dog rescue, Mikaela’s Mutt Motel.
