UPDATE: Several cars crash on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in Clarksville

Update: Traffic has returned to normal.

Update, 1:15 p.m.: Southbound traffic is moving, with some backups after Athletic Avenue. Northbound traffic is backed up past 101st.

Previously:

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A severe wreck had traffic backed up on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard Saturday afternoon.

At about 12:23 p.m., several cars crashed at Needmore Road, according to Clarksville Police. The northbound lanes of Wilma Rudolph were shut down. Drivers are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be opened back up. The status of the injuries has not been released.

As of 1 p.m., northbound traffic was backed up to 101st Airborne Division Parkway. Southbound traffic was backed up to Walmart.
