CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A second Tennova Healthcare satellite ER is planned in Clarksville, this one on Trenton Road near 101st Airborne Division Parkway.

Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville told Clarksville Now on Wednesday it has filed notice with the Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency that it will apply for a Certificate of Need to open a satellite hospital on Trenton, in what it called, “an easily accessible location in a growing part of our community.”

According to a statement from Sandra Wooten, Tennova spokeswoman, the satellite hospital would be “open around the clock every day of the year to provide acute inpatient medical and surgical services with 12 inpatient beds and a 14-bay emergency department.”

“Our plans are designed to serve the healthcare needs of residents and complement the services we provide in our Dunlop Lane facility, Tennova ER-Sango and Tennova Medical Group clinics for primary care, cardiology, orthopedics, surgery and other specialties,” she said.

Those plans are similar to those for the facility Tennova built in 2017 in Sango. The main Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville hospital is on Dunlop Lane.

Tennova will present its plans to the Tennessee Health Services and Development Agency in the coming months.
