CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville Police have identified the motorcyclist who died after a collision with a van on Fort Campbell Boulevard Wednesday evening.

The motorcyclist, 21-year-old Joshua Harris of Chapmansboro, was transported to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital on Fort Campbell where he was pronounced deceased, according to a news release from CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.

At 8:40 p.m. Wednesday, the Clarksville Police Department Fatal Accident Crash Team responded to a two vehicle crash at 1444 Ft. Campbell Boulevard in front of AutoZone, Beaubien said in the news release.

A driver in a Ford Transit van was headed northbound on Fort Campbell Boulevard and was making a left turn from the continuous left turn lane into AutoZone, the news release said.

The motorcycle struck the Ford Transit van on the driver’s side of the vehicle, and Beaubien said it appears that the motorcyclist was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes at the time of the collision.

The wreck is still under investigation and no other information was immediately available.
