Meteorologists visit 5 Star Media

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (Clarksvillenow.com) This time of year Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky is well known for its chance of severe weather. When sever weather does hit our area the 5 Star Media First Alert Storm Team and Clarksvillenow.com is there to keep you informed and help keep you safe.

5 Star Media Group works closely with the National Weather Service (NWS) and recently, Krissy Hurley, with the NWS office in Nashville, and Rick Shanklin, from the Paducah NWS office, visited with the staff of 5 Star Media. Both are Warning Coordination Meteorologist’s with the weather service.

The pair talked about making the public aware of tornado watches and warnings, how to keep yourself safe during a tornado and thunderstorm, protecting yourself during lightning and flash flooding and the importance of having an operating weather radio.
