Update Nov. 7, 2023: Police are no longer looking for the unidentified black male who was present at 360 Kraft Steet, In-and-Out Market, at the time of the homicide.

“We would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter,” CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien said. “This is still an ongoing investigation and no other information is available for release.”

Update: Police detectives want to speak to a man who was present at the shop at the time of the shooting. He is not considered a suspect.

CPD released the below photo and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man.

Update, 9:40 a.m.: Clarksville Police detectives have arrested a suspect in the deadly shooting today on Kraft Street. Danyon Dowlen of Clarksville, previously named as a person of interest, has been charged with killing 37-year-old Antoine Gray of Clarksville.

At approximately 3:12 p.m., police received a 911 call on the shooting. Dowlen was quickly identified and taken into custody at about 8:20 p.m.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Police Department responded to a shooting off of Kraft Street where they found a man inside an SUV with multiple gunshot wounds Sunday afternoon. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CPD spokesperson Scott Beaubien.

The crime took place around 3:13 p.m. at 360 Kraft St., which is where the In and Out Market is located. Photos from the scene show at least five bullet holes in the driver’s side door of the SUV.

50-year-old Danyon Dowlen has been identified by police as a possible witness, and/or person of interest. Anyone with information on his location is asked to call 911. Police say this was an isolated incident and believe there is no threat to the public, according to Beaubien.
