CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A man is dead after allegedly assaulting his mother at a residence on Gratton Road in Montgomery County.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 1544 Gratton Rd. at approximately 10:27 a.m. in response to a domestic assault in progress. The fight involved Connie Bearden, Henry Bearden, and their adult son, Brandon Pulley.

The sheriff’s office reports that when they arrived at the address, they found Pulley unresponsive. Deputies began CPR until medical units arrived and took over. Medics later transported him to Tennova Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.

MCSO criminal investigators responded to the scene to investigate. They said preliminary findings indicated that Pulley began an unprovoked attack on his mother, Mrs. Bearden, with a weapon. Mrs. Bearden suffered injuries to her head and back from the attack, and Mr. Bearden attempted to defend his wife by restraining Pulley.

Deputies said this is an active investigation, and no other information is available for release at this time.
