CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Hankook Tire, a leading global tire company, will host an information fair for job seekers interested in employment at the new Clarksville plant on Tuesday, Oct. 6 and Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The event will be held at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at 1190 Cumberland Dr.

Over the next 16 months, Hankook Tire will hire approximately 1,000 new employees for its new high-tech tire manufacturing plant, which is currently under construction. The plant will be the Seoul, Korea-based company’s eighth global manufacturing facility and their first in the U.S.

The facility is currently hiring for engineering and administration positions.

Full-scale production of tires will begin in October 2016.

The career fair will share detailed information about the company, the plant, and available jobs. Four one-hour sessions will be offered at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Oct. 6 and 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Oct 7.

Advance registration is required to participate.

Interested candidates can bring resumes to the information fair.

Applicants can view current job postings and apply through www.jobs4tn.gov.

The TN Department of Labor and Workforce Development’s mobile Career Coach unit will be on site both days to assist job seekers. The Career Coach offers free usage of computers, copiers, and fax machines. All computers are equipped with Microsoft Office software.
