CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Actor Cody Longo, best known for his roles in “Days of Our Lives” and the “Bring It On: Fight to the Finish” movie, is facing a charge of sexual assault involving a 9-year-old girl in Colorado.

Longo, 33, who now lives in Clarksville, was arrested Nov. 7 on a charge of domestic assault after his wife told police he shoved her in the face with his forearm, according to a police report.

Clarksville Now has also obtained court documents from Douglas County, Colorado, that accuse Longo of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl.

In July 2019, Longo traveled to Littleton, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. His wife was traveling elsewhere for work.

While he was staying there, the documents state, Longo enticed the girl to his room, where he asked her to give him a foot massage. The girl said Longo told her to rub his “feet and legs, but he actually made me touch his, like (pause), and he was holding my hand to do it.” She said he also touched her inappropriately.

In the documents, the girl told a forensic psychologist that Longo was “a big star” in Nashville. She said she knew Longo didn’t want her to tell anyone what happened because he kept telling her, “Shh, it’s OK,” while she was rubbing his legs, the document said.

The girl told her parents, and they filed a police report a few days after the incident.

Clarksville Now does not identify victims in sex crime cases.

Longo was arrested and booked on Jan. 12, 2020, charged with sexual assault of a child.

When asked about the charges, Longo’s attorney, Iris Eytan of Denver, said in a prepared statement:

“Cody Longo is innocent. Overwhelming evidence unequivocally disproves and refutes the allegations in the affidavit. Other than the evidence of innocence revealed in the actual, not summarized, interviews in the affidavit, additional evidence completely exonerates him. This evidence includes opinions by a very experienced and licensed polygrapher, and a psychologist. These experts determined that Cody Longo was truthful when he denied the claims in the affidavit, and that he is not a risk to minors, and the accusations are unfounded. We strongly believe the case should be dismissed, and should not go to trial. However, if it does go to trial, Cody Longo will be found not guilty.”

The case is going through motion hearings, with an arraignment hearing scheduled in January.

Other arrests

Clarksville Now has also obtained reports that Longo is classified as a fugitive in the Commonwealth of Virginia for failing to appear in court on a shoplifting charge in New Kent County.

He additionally has a 2013 DUI arrest in Los Angeles in which he served probation, a 2014 public intoxication arrest in Nashville that was dismissed, and a July 2017 driving on a suspended license charge in Montgomery County, Tennessee that received a “nolle” dismissal, according to court records.

Professional career

According to his IMDB page, Longo is currently working on a movie called “Big America” in the role of Lucky, and two other projects that are in the pre-production stage, one of them called “Killing Games.”

Longo first landed a role in the 2008 basketball film, “Ball Don’t Lie.” This led to other roles, including starring opposite Kelsey Grammer in the 2009 remake of the film “Fame,” playing Evan in 2009’s “Bring It On: Fight to the Finish,” playing Nicholas Alamain in eight episodes of “Days of Our Lives” in 2011, and starring as Eddie Duran on Nickelodeon’s “Hollywood Heights” in 2012, according to IMDB.

That same year, he released a song called “Atmosphere” that broke through to the top 100 on iTunes.
