CLARKSVILLE, TN – The CMCSS Human Resources Department will host an information session on Tuesday, June 20, for those interested in pursuing their passion for becoming a teacher. If you are interested in being an educator but do not hold a teaching certification, CMCSS can help with job-embedded licensure. Anyone with a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution is eligible to apply.

The event will be held at Central Services South, 1312 Highway 48, in Clarksville. Participants can choose from one of two sessions, 5:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. Attendees can meet representatives from iTeach and Austin Peay State University, who will discuss the pathways available to obtaining a teaching license. CMCSS Human Resources representatives will assist with questions regarding Praxis and the CMCSS application process.

To learn more about job-embedded licensure, out-of-state teaching licenses, and more, visit cmcss.net/teach.

CMCSS continues to focus efforts on recruiting and retaining high-quality educators. Dr. Luna-Vedder has emphasized that CMCSS can and will be the best school district in Tennessee to both work and attend. In the 2023-2024 budget, CMCSS will invest $16.9 million in employee compensation to provide a 4.5% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), step increases, and associated benefits for all permanent employees and substitutes assigned to a CMCSS salary schedule.

More than 350 certified and classified positions are currently available in the district. Schools and departments are actively hiring for multiple areas. To see all available careers, visit cmcss.net/employment.
