According to Fox 21 NewsFive Finger Death Punch singer Ivan Moody helped organize a donation of sleeping bags to a nonprofit that serves homeless youth.

The band was in Colorado Springs last week and since Moody has strong ties to Colorado he wanted to help out the local shelters.

Moody then got in touch with local rock station 94.3 KILO who were able to get the donation organized.

“We do have a lot of youth that aren’t in the shelter yet and we have not made those relationships so we are working on that, but we can give them a little warmth while they are still sleeping on the streets,” said Courtney Deuser, of Urban Peak Colorado Springs.

In total there were 50 sleeping bags donated.
