CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) A very special homecoming took place this month at Governors Square Mall after Staff Sergeant Jacob Hunt with the 101st returned from an eight-month deployment to Afghanistan.
Hunt’s wife, Lark, arranged to be at center court at the mall near the Easter Bunny with their two children, 2-year-old Grey and 6-year-old Laela.
Laela was going to ask the Easter Bunny for one wish, which was for her daddy to be home for Easter.
Unfortunately, Grey wasn’t happy about getting to close to the Easter Bunny for a photo. After the picture and while the two kids were looking at the photos, Hunt walked in and sat down by the bunny.
The photographer took a photo of Hunt with the Easter Bunny and showed it to them and that’s when the kids turned around and realized that it was their dad, and both ran to him for some really big hugs.
After the happy reunion Laela talked about her daddy being home.
“It’s the best because it’s all of my wishes I asked for,” she said.
