A man accused of breaking into Kid Rock’s home in July has pleaded no contest to attempted home invasion, but insists he was so drunk he has no recollection of the incident.

Brian Keith, who was in court in Michigan on Wednesday, was also charged with malicious destruction of a building and malicious destruction of personal property.

All three charges against him are felonies.

Keith’s court-appointed attorney, Douglas Oliver, has requested his client is sentenced to substance abuse treatment as part of his sentence. He will be sentenced on 25 September.

Kid Rock, who was not at home at the time of the break-in on 31 July, offered a $5,000 reward for information in the case.
