Mugshot ‘hottie’ goes viral

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — He’s a hunk — in the slammer. The handsome mug shot of a Northern California man is going viral.

Jeremy Meeks was busted this week on weapons charges. His mug shot has gotten more than 28,000 “likes” on Facebook.

Stockton Police Department spokesman Joseph Silva says he’s never seen such a response.

Meeks’ high cheek bones, chiseled face and striking blue eyes are getting plenty of comments. One post says, “Momma, I’m in love with a criminal.” Another reads, “Wow. That is one good looking mug shot!” But not all the Facebook posts are favorable. One person writes, “with six felonies, he ain’t that cute.”

Weeks is being held on $900,000 bail and is scheduled for arraignment this afternoon.
