Woman hides in Cumberland River

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s office said two people were caught by deputies after an attempted traffic stop by a deputy on Lafayette.

The suspects, Jacob Ritchie and Jessica Davis fled but were followed to Riverside Drive where Ritchie was arrested inside a business. Davis was found trying to hide in the Cumberland River, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

Clarksville Police Department assisted in the arrests. The vehicle contained a gun and drug paraphernalia. The sheriff’s office said Ritchie and Davis have previous arrests on multiple drug-related charges.
