Z97.5/WZZP “BUD LIGHT PARTY CRUISE” Rules
Official Contest Rules as of: May 25, 2008
Overview:
Saga Communications of Tuckessee, LLC, and its parent companies, which includes their members, officers, directors, and shareholders, are referred to collectively herein as “Z975/WZZP.” Z975/WZZP will conduct “Z975’s/WZZP’s Bud Light Party Cruise Giveaway” (hereinafter referred to as “contest”), a radio promotion contest that will air Monday, June 30, 2008 through Thursday, August 14, 2008 on Z975/WZZP. Z975/WZZP listeners will have a chance to win a cruise for 2 aboard the Bud Light Party Cruise which departs October 31, 2008 and returns on November 3, 2008. Winner will also receive airfare. Winner must be responsible for all necessary taxes/fees whick includes a fee of $348.00. (The trip is hereinafter referred to as the “Grand Prize.”)
Methodology/Qualifying Prizes:
Subject to the limitations below, beginning Monday, June 30, 2008 through Thursday, August 14, 2008, Z975/WZZP will conduct the “Z975 Bud Light Party Cruise” contest. Each weekday during between 6am and 9am, Z-97.5 will announce the Bud Light Party Cruise Cut of the day. When the designated song plays between the hours of 9am and 6pm, the 9th caller on the studio lines at 931-431-0975 will be qualified to win the grand prize. All qualifiers must be 21. Z975/WZZP reserves the right to play the contest in hours outside of those specified above.
Persons may register to qualify online at www.z975.com. To do so, one must visit an area Sudden Service and get the Store's Weekly Promo Code. then, one must complete the necessary process at www.z975.com including entering the Sudden Service Promo Code. No more than 5 Qualifiers will be selected from those who register to qualify online at www.z975.com. If one does not enter the correct code, his or her entry will not be accepted. Deadline to enter is 5pm on 7/27/08.
Persons may also attempt to qualify for the grand prize by registering at sponsor locations. If this does occur, locations will be posted on www.Z975.com and/or announced on Z975/WZZP. Altogether, qualifiers may be chosen from both on-air solicitation, online registration and on-location events.
Grand Prize(s):
The final selection of the grand prize winner will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at The Lodge Sports Pub in Clarksville TN. All qualifiers must be present at The Lodge Sports Pub and check in on time to become eligible to win the Grand Prize. The Lodge Sports Pub is located at 3025 Mr C Dr Clarksville, TN 37040. All qualifiers must check in with the designated Z97.5 representative no later than 7:30pm at the Lodge Sports Pub on August 14, 2008 or that qualifier will be declared ineligible for the contest. Qualifiers must present positive ID. All qualifiers must be present at the final event to be eligible to win.
Finale details: Each qualifier upon check in will receive one half of a room key with a number on it. The matching half will be put into a box for the finals. The winner will be decided via reverse drawing. The person(s) with the same number on their room key as the last one(s) in the box will be the Grand Prize Winner. Grand Prize Winner(s) must still be present when the winner(s) is announced to collect their prize. Grand Prize Winner(s) will have a deadline given by Bud Light as to when they have to redeem their trip code which can be found online. Once the prize has been awarded and signed for by the winner(s), they are solely responsible for redeeming, booking, and paying any applicable fees ON THEIR OWN. Z97.5, its partners, and affiliates are not responsible for any taxes, fees, or other monies that must be paid for this Grand Prize.
Grand prize consists of a cruise for 2 aboard the Bud Light Party Cruise which departs October 31, 2008 and returns on November 3, 2008. Further details to be announced. Winner must be responsible for all necessary taxes/fees.
Grand Prize retail value (1099 value) is at least: US $2,000 (The Grand Prize will take place October 31, 2008 and returns on November 3, 2008)
Winners may not transfer prize to another person.
If a Grand Prize winner is deemed ineligible or refuses the Grand Prize, an alternate winner will be selected by referring to the second to last name drawn from the box.
Legal Restrictions
No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
All qualifiers be 21 years of age or older to be eligible to win. Each winner must provide positive proof that he or she is 21 years of age or older. Any Qualifier who fails satisfactorily to demonstrate to Z975/WZZP that he or she is 21 years of age will be disqualified.
SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF TUCKASSEE, LLC. GENERAL CONTEST RULES
1) No purchase is necessary to enter any Z97.5/WZZP contest.
2) All contestants must be permanent residents of Kentucky and Tennessee and must provide Z97.5/WZZP with a valid form of identification and Social Security number satisfactory to Z97.5/WZZP management.
3) Subject to rule (4) below, all contestants must be at least 21 years old to be eligible to participate in contests that include hotel/motel accommodations, motor vehicles, boats, and/or air travel as prizes.
4) All contestants must be at least 21 years old to be eligible for all contests affiliated with an alcoholic beverage manufacturer or distributor.
5) One entry per household will be permitted to participate in a contest. A "household" is defined as any individuals residing at the same address. After winning a contest on Z97.5/WZZP,the individual/household is ineligible to win any other contests on Z97.5/WZZP for a period of thirty (30) days. All individuals/households receiving a prize valued at $500.00 or more on Z97.5/WZZP may be issued a 1099 Federal Income Tax Form by Z97.5/WZZP, and are ineligible to win a prize valued at $500.00 or more for a period of one calendar year from the date of winning. If it is determined that a selected contestant is ineligible as a result of one or both of these restrictions, another contestant will be selected. This selection procedure will continue until these restrictions are satisfied.
6) Anytime Z97.5/WZZPon-air studio is called, it is assumed by the caller that the phone call is being recorded and may be broadcast. The caller grants permission to Z97.5/WZZP to broadcast the call or record the call for later broadcast.
6a) For telephone contests, listeners may enter by calling 931-431-0975. If any problems are discovered by Z97.5/WZZP, different call-in numbers or addresses may be substituted and utilized after those numbers and addresses are broadcast on Z97.5/WZZP. In the event a caller is disconnected during a contest before his/her name and phone number is recorded, then the prize will be awarded to the next caller whose name and phone number are recorded. The person operating the telephone at Z97.5/WZZP has the final decision as to who is the winning caller.
7) For contests requiring written entry forms, they may be faxed to 931-648-7769, e-mailed to a contest specific address on http://www.z975.com, or mailed/delivered to Z97.5/WZZP 1640 Old Russellville Pike Clarksville TN. 37043. All entries become property of Z97.5/WZZP and will not be returned. Z97.5/WZZPreserves the right to retain any or all contest materials for any reason that Z97.5/WZZP deems necessary to the completion of the contest, or reasons relating to publicity and/or advertising. Z97.5/WZZP shall have no responsibility for a contestants failure to win or claim any prize based on difficulties with telephone, facsimile, email, or internet difficulties, or any circumstances in any contest.
8) Any specific rules and/or restrictions pertaining to individual contests (entry dates, a limit on number or words on an entry, etc.) will be disclosed in on-air announcements.
9) Prizes must be picked up by the winners at the Z97.5/WZZP business office or other pre-arranged or pre-announced location within thirty (30) days of notification to the winner, unless there is a deadline date by which the prizes must be picked up, in which case, that date will be specifically stated. Otherwise, failure to pick up the prizes by the deadline will result in the forfeiture of the prize, which shall remain the property of Z97.5/WZZP. Z97.5/WZZP assumes no liability for the delivery of prizes.
10) In the event the winner is subject to, or the subject of, any order or legal process issued by any governmental agency having jurisdiction over the affairs of the winner (i.e. garnishment, child support order, judgment, lien, and the like), Z97.5/WZZP's delivery of the prize to the official representative of the governmental entity claiming a right to the prize shall be thus deemed as Z97.5/WZZP) awarding the prize to the winner. Z97.5/WZZP shall be entitled to rely in good faith, upon any documents presented by the representative seeking to collect the prize in lieu of the winner. Z97.5/WZZP shall not be liable for any claim by any winner for damages incidental thereto.
11) As a condition of entering a contest, contestants must agree that upon winning, they will consent to the use of their name, likeness, and all verbal and written communications with Z97.5/WZZP for publicity purposes.
12) Employees of Z97.5/WZZP, 5 Star Radio Group, (and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc.), their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the Z97.5/WZZP main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
13) All prizes are non-transferable and are not redeemable for cash. Z97.5/WZZP reserves the right to substitute a prize of similar value. Z97.5/WZZP cannot be held responsible for unforeseen cancellations or delays of concerts/events or transportation caused by weather, promoter or performer.
14) Winners are solely responsible for all applicable local, state and federal taxes. Winner may be issued a 1099 MISC federal tax form if in one calendar year the prize value of all prizes won in contests from Z97.5/WZZP and/or participating co-sponsors exceeds $600.00.
15) Z97.5/WZZP, 5 Star Radio Group, assumes no liability for liability, damages, situations, repairs, or incidents arising from any aspect of any prize awarded in any contest. Saga Communications, Inc., Saga Broadcasting LLC, Saga Communications of Tuckassee LLC, their subsidiaries, any of the participating sponsors, their officers, directors, stockholders and employees shall be held harmless from any action or liability arising from any contest or prize awarded in any contest. As a condition of entering a contest, participants may be required, upon winning, to sign a release form and affidavit of eligibility to claim their prize. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the contestants right to claim or receive the prize.
16) The following are specifically related to E-contests and E-Mail Club promotions on http://www.z975.com :
a) All appropriate information in required fields must be filled out or contestants will be disqualified.
b) To be eligible to win a prize, a contestant must reside within the TSA (Total Survey Area) listening area of Z97.5/WZZPas defined by Arbitron.
c) Any problems with the internet or email are not Z97.5/WZZP's responsibility.
d) Contestants who attempt to register to participate on Z97.5/WZZP's websites may be required to produce a printed copy of proof of registration before being allowed to participate in the contest.
17) All giveaways and contests are void where prohibited by law. All local, state and federal regulations apply. As a licensee of the FCC and a trustee of the public airwaves, Z97.5/WZZP reserves the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest or promotion (and not award the offered prize) at the discretion of Z97.5/WZZP management if world events, the national mood, or public safety so warrant. Z97.5/WZZP reserves the right to disqualify any winner if the contest rules have been violated in any way. Z97.5/WZZPreserves the right to amend the rules to any contest at any time. All decisions of Z97.5/WZZP are final.
18) Z97.5/WZZPreserves the right to change or modify the rules of its contests. In such cases, Z97.5/WZZ will amend the rules for that contest and broadcast the amended rules as promptly as possible. In such case, the contest will be conducted in accordance with the amended rules.
